ABOUT IAIN

Iain McKillop is a British painter and art-historian working mainly in the field of Christian religious art.     He also produces paintings of architectural history and  related subjects.


Iain has exhibited works in many cathedrals and churches throughout the United Kingdom.

He is ordained and is available to give talks and retreats on issues of faith, art and art history.

Many of the series on this website are available to churches for loan
Iain is touring his latest series, a memorial to all the innocents who die in war,  If you know of any cathedrals or churches which would like to borrow these paintings for temporary exhibition, please contact Iain.

Iain's most important commission so far has been the Lady Chapel Altarpiece, Gloucester Cathedral, 2004.  It consists of three panels over 7 ft high - Crucifixion, Pieta & Resurection.  These are set in the broken mediaeval stone niches behind the altar. Iain has also painted the altarpiece in the Musicians' Chapel by the Lady Chapel.
